Veterans' Reorg five day residential course - 19th to 23rd June 2017

The Royal British Legion Battle Back Centre Lilleshall was opened in 2011 to help Armed Forces personnel who are wounded, injured or sick (WIS) to achieve the best possible recovery and either return to duty or make a smooth transition to civilian life.
Over 5,000 personnel from all three services have attended courses at the Centre, which enjoys an enviable reputation with the serving community. The intention is to now open courses to service veterans. Undertaking and overcoming challenge is proven to enhance recovery. Participating in individual and team challenges builds confidence and self-esteem and also creates strong bonds of trust between participants that remain long after the activity has finished.
The Veterans 'REORG' Course is a 5 day residential course, delivered by our world-class coaching staff,  that uses sport and adventurous training - climbing, archery, wheelchair basketball, cycling, indoor skiing, clay target shooting and water sports to name a few - to develop self-confidence, increase self-awareness and improve motivation.
The course also focuses on motivation, well-being, alcohol/substance misuse, sleep and nutrition. Participation on activities is based on 'challenge by choice' with those attending deciding what they do and to what level. In addition, there will be presentations on TRBL support services - housing benefits, money advice etc - and the opportunity for 1:1 consultations for those requiring assistance.
The Battle Back Centre is located in rolling Shropshire countryside set in the delightful grounds of the National Sports Centre Lilleshall. All bedrooms are single-occupancy ensuite and presented to a high standard with WIFI access, TV and tea/coffee making facilities and are fully adapted for those with a disability and wheelchair users.
To secure a place on this first Veterans 'REORG' Course 19 - 23 June 17 you need to be a regular or reserve service veteran and be independently mobile and self-medicating.
